Volunteer Auxiliary
The Volunteer Auxiliary is a 300-members strong group, including members from a diverse range of expertise, ages, and geographies. They work together to advance the GSC’s programs and visibility through the following activities:
League Events
Plans and hosts entertaining and educational festivities.
Education Programs
Organizes children’s concerts, special events, the Instrument Petting Zoo, lectures and scholarship recipient selection.
Fundraising
Helps with major GSC fundraising projects, sells League Christmas ornaments and spring geraniums.
Season Ticket Sales & Phone-A-Thons
Joins for a fun evening promoting season tickets, and works on the Sustaining Fund Drive.
Concert Activities
Welcomes concert-goers, takes tickets, distributes programs, ushers and helps sell merchandise at concerts.
Receptions and Food Donations
Hosts and provides refreshments at concert rehearsals and receptions.
Publicity
Prepares announcements, provides information to regional Chambers of Commerce, and shares photo expertise to document events for GSC historic record.
Membership
Registers members and guests at events, distributes member forms and collect dues, and helps keep member information current.
Housing Concert Musicians
Meets wonderful musicians from other Montana orchestras and provides housing on concert weekends.
Mailings / Office Assistance
Donates a few hours to help prepare bulk mailings for League & GSC, and assists with clerical projects.
